We are well situated for trips to the island of Ulva which is just 15 minutes to the right out
of the gate. There, you can enjoy beautiful walks, wild-life, flora and fauna, the
visitor's centre, Sheila's Cottage, and then round off your trip with some
delicious home baking at the Boathouse Cafe. Fresh shellfish, home-made soup
and cakes are served between 10am-5pm.

20 minutes to the left from the Mill is Calgary Bay. Above this beautiful
sweeping sandy bay is the Calgary Hotel. Here, during the day, lovely soups and
light snacks can be enjoyed after browsing through the local art and crafts on
sale. The evening restaurant opposite is a real treat, and we would recommend
that you book to be sure of getting in.

For reasonably priced, very good pub food, the Bellachroy in Dervaig is just 15
minutes over the hill. Other Hotels in Dervaig are open to non-residents, but
again, it is worth booking first to avoid disappointment.

Tobermory has a mixture of places to eat from Fish & Chips from the "Les Routiers" listed chip van on the pier to cafes and restaurants, and it takes about 35 minutes to drive there on the single track roads.

|
Closer to home we have a local beach and small pier which are both easily walkable, but you can drive part of the way if you are laden with picnics and beach balls etc. Do ask us and we will be happy to point you in the right direction.
